Type 2 Diabetes is a medical condition that afflicts more and more people today and is a condition that in many cases can be avoided through more attention to ones diet.  Diabetes is a medical condition where your body does not produce enough insulin, this causes your blood sugar to spike and can cause many long term health problems such as blindness and limb amputation.  When it comes to preventing diabetes the most important thing is to have a diet where you do not consume too much sugar, a simple place to start is by reducing your soda intake; another thing you should do is to reduce the amount of processed food you consume, most processed food contains added sugar in order to give the food added flavor.  When you prepare a meal from scratch it will taste better and will contain less sugar, salt and other preservatives, many of which also cause cancer.
